Jim Overcomes Short Stack for January Win! - 1/10/15

When it comes to the January game, it doesn't pay to bet against Jim! A year ago, Jim collected all of the chips in the January tournament, but it didn't look like he would be able to repeat his win from last season. At one point, Jim had the short stack and Uncle John had quite a big stack going. Deb also had chips as she challenged for the top spot. Momentum was on Jim's side though as he slowly gained the chip advantage that he would need for victory.

The points board has been set back to zero for our first game of the 2015 season, so everyone has a shot at the top spot for the new year. If you didn't notice, the starting chip stack has been increased by 1000 for your initial buy-in. Re-entry players now receive points for their finishing position, instead of their first elimination.

We have also gained quite a few new players over the last few months, so we are closing the list for new players at this time. Check in with me as the new season gets started when it comes to future new faces at the table.
