Brian Crews Rides Wave! - 02/02/13

Just about every poker player has had a run of good cards, or even a run of good tournment results in their career. It's right around that time when you start thinking, "Hey, I've figured this poker thing out! I'm going to win everything now because this is easy!" Well, that's also about time when the bottom drops out and it isn't long before you're wondering if you even know how to play the game.

For a few people in Vegas and a bunch of us at the LLWSOP, we're dealing with the hot-handed Brian Crews! Not only did he cash a few times in the series at the M Resort, but he also took down the LLWSOP Satellite game on Friday and the tournament on Saturday! This is a guy who's probably thinking he's figured out the game of poker!

The bad news for the rest of us in the field is that a guy on a rush is hard to beat! The good news is that a rush doesn't tend to stick around for very long. If the cards do indeed stay hot for Brian, we always have the satisfaction of knowing that he can't actually taste sweet victory. Come to think of it, he can't smell it either.
