Donald Glaude Lurks! - 03/02/13

It's unsettling to see Donald Glaude at the final table. Most of the time you aren't sure what to make of this guy because he spends a lot of his time going all in when he's ready to go home. Sometimes he looks at his cards, and sometimes he doesn't. Does he really want to go home, or does he have a great hand this time? These were the questions when the final table was seated for the March LLWSOP. As it turns out, Donald was waiting and lurking in plain sight for his shot to win the tournament.

At one point during the final table, Kevin Wu had so many plaques that he was able to build a house out of them, but as play went on, many of those building materials moved over to Donald's construction site. At one point, Donald went all-in without looking and then turned over A/K when he was called. You can read a lot of strategy magazines and not learn how to beat that game!

Jim Moorman was the last obstable to victory for Donald and even though the two players saw many hands in head-to-head play, Jim was never able to gain control of the game. In the end, the final hand was decided when Donald's Queen-hi beat Jim's Jack-hi when neither player could find a pair.
