Jeff Mazzella Stages Comeback! - 03/05/11
If you wanted to win the March tournament, it was going to take more than good cards and a little luck. You
were going to need endurance as well! The game began with 25 players, but eliminations at the final table
slowed to a crawl as the money just seemed to move around to the different players. Eventually, we got down
to five players and it looked like Jeff Mazzella was going to take the dreaded bubble-boy spot.
Jeff was down to just five purple chips and the blinds were threatening when Adonna was eliminated in the bubble
spot. Jeff could have easily gone out next, but he got on a rush that propelled him to head-to-head action with
Ed Edens. In the final hand, Ed made a decision to limp with A/J, allowing Jeff's 3/7 to pair the flop. All of
the money hit the middle and Jeff's lone pair sealed the victory.
For those of you planning for summer, the next six dates are not posted on the front page!
