Jeff Mazzella Hat Trick! - 05/07/11

There's nothing more frightening at the poker table than a Donald Glaude with nowhere to go. Donald decided to stick around this month and his play landed him at the final table. He looked like he might hit the money, but then came along Jeff Mazzella! His momentum over the last few months did not wane and before long, he was facing Matt Sprugasci in head-to-head action.

Matt actaully gets a rare assist in Jeff's win when he called an all-in bet with the not-so-sturdy J/4 offsuit. Jeff's J/Q took down the pot and those chips helped him secure the victory. On the final hand of the night, Matt's Q/7 took the lead over Jeff's K/7 when a queen hit the flop. A river king was golden for Jeff and he took down his third straight championship.

For those of you following the quarters, Jim South's bounty of 20 quarters was destined for Dave Sigua, but Jim Moorman ended up with the loose change when he took South out. Matt then inherited the prize until ending up in second place... And Jeff Mazzella enjoys the May bounty of qarters!
