The Return of Mike Allen! - 06/09/12

It has been a few months since Mike Allen played in the tournament, but he made up for the absence by taking down the June field of 27 players. It was "couples night" at the LLWSOP with three married couples making the final table. All of them were shooting for the big stack that Roger Glandt accumulated throughout the evening with a great run of winning cards. Roger's luck eventually faded, along with his chips and it appeared that Bonnie Edens would ride her usual final table momentum to another win.

Victory was in Bonnie's hands when her dominated A/6 sucked out on the river for trip sixes, giving her the head-to-head chip lead. Bonnie then folded a marginal hand, but when a rabbit board was dealt, the hand would have finished off Mike's game for the night. Mike took advantage of his second life to double up and he eventually got it all in with an A/K that would give him the June championship.
