Irish Steve Scrapes Off Barnacle! - 07/13/13

Chris Hill is one pesky barnacle! He had such a small stack when it got down to two players this month that he should have just given up and gone home. Instead, he had to make things difficult as he refused to be eliminated. In the first big hand, Irish pushed with A/9 and Chris called with K/K. Irish flopped an ace, but Chris turned a two-outer king to double up. Irish pushed again with A/Q and was called by A/2. That ace deuce rivered a straight flush to double Chris up yet again! The final hand was a classic race as Irish tabled 88 and Chris showed A/9. The eights held up and Irish won the July championship.
