Jim South Ends Siege! - 8/09/14

The August LLWSOP featured a few unfamiliar faces as a few past players returned to take a shot at the top prize. Troy Devonshire represented the best efforts of the returning players, but eventually landed two spots out of the money in seventh place. Mike Sprugasci was the next to fall on the bubble despite a valiant effort to avoid the dreaded six-spot.

Once the bubble broke, the remaining players dug in for a protracted siege. Several levels came and went and the top five players stubbornly refused to be eliminated. Eventually, the sun came up and all five stacks were still in the game. After the breakfast break, play continued for another few hours. Okay! Maybe NOT! The game didn't actually last that long, but it sure did seem like a long time before Damon ended up taking fifth place! LA! and Irish were next to hit the rail, and after Jim South took care of Bonnie Edens, the game was finally over!
