Brian Receives Rare Double Beating! - 08/13/16

It takes a good mix of luck and skill to make it to the final two players of the monthly LLWSOP. After all of those hours of playing, it's a great feeling to land in first and it's a bit of a letdown to end up second. This last month, our final two players, Mike E and Brian managed to play two "final hands" and Brian landed in second place both times!

In the final hand, Mike E had the chip lead and he played 7/8 of clubs vs. Brian's 9/2 off-suit. The flop held two deuces for Brian, but two clubs for Mike. All the chips hit the pot and a club on the river finished Brian off. The cash was delivered and we were about to take the picture when Mike realized that the final club was a nine, giving Brian a full house! The game continued with Brian dodging second place, but it wasn't long before another winning hand from Mike was able to put Brian in second place for a second time! The joys of poker!
