"Irish" Steve Wins First Major Tournament! - 7/18/06
I haven't spent very much time playing the larger multi-player cash tournaments, but
today I decided to play one as practice for the World Series. I signed up for the $33
no-limit game and at the start, there were 559 players in the game.
Four hours later, I found myself at the final table with the shortest stack of the field.
I worked that stack up and eventually had the chip lead with five players to go! We finally
got down to the last two players and we decided to make a "deal" and split the top prize
money according our chip stacks.
I took down $3,500 and the first place finish with over $1M in chips! It was so great to
finally take down first place in a game with
more than 500 players! Now, all I have to do is duplicate the effort again in The World
Series next week!
