After navigating a short stack to the final table, Ed managed to make the cash after Dave's big stack faltered, leaving him in the dreaded bubble spot. Monty was the next player to be eliminated and then it was Kevin's turn to lose a big stack on the way to the door.

Irish was the last man to challenge Mike's big stack, but luck was not on his side. In the very first head-to-head hand, Irish raised from the button with QQ and Mike went all-in with K6. The flop gave Mike a 6 and with a blank on the turn, it looked like the big stack would take a hit. A 6 on the river ended that hope and Mike claimed victory for August.
