Irish Steve Celebrates Early Christmas! - 12/01/12
Whenever people gather for the holidays, it can be a stessful time of year and family members can sometimes find strife with each other. Have no fear though! The LLWSOP is a different kind of family, and when father and son faced off in head-to-head action, play lasted only a single hand. It was a quick ending to a long tournament, but both players caught a pair on the flop and all the money hit the middle. There was no shortage of food at the December game and no shortage of re-entry players. Chris Barnacle Hill and all-in Wu both signed up for a second helping of tournament play, but Mike Sprugasci proved he was the king of re-entries! Mike was the first player in LLWSOP history to re-enter and then win the championship and now he's the first to ever re-enter twice in one game! That would be a re-re-enter for those taking meticulous notes. The points totals for the year are now complete and the final eight players are listed on the stats page. All final eight players should arrive at 5:00pm on January 5th for the freeroll game. Everyone else can come to watch and get in some hands in the cash game. The January game will be the start of our tenth season of the LLWSOP and the new points board will be set back to zero. Good luck players!
